Dictation
Hold your configured dictation key while speaking and release it to insert text. A quick tap can toggle hands-free recording.
Privacy
Everything BackFlow hears and types stays on your computer. It does not transfer audio, transcripts, or personal information to us or to anyone else at any time. The only server contact is a check for a quality update.
Updates
BackFlow checks a signed update manifest in the background. If a newer build exists, it can download it. It only installs after you explicitly choose to restart and update. That check does not include your dictation.
Troubleshooting
Confirm that your microphone and selected model are available, then use the app’s diagnostics before contacting support.
